While on our Oregon road trip in Spring, Clara and I got up early one morning and had a mini photo shoot on the stunning sand dunes of South Beach State Park. The dunes are so lovely, albeit a bit hard to walk up and down. Ha!

Read MoreSo apparently the Fraser Valley forgot that it usually rains nonstop until mid-June.....and we've basically had Summer since April. It's been nuts. So so hot! From a farmer's perspective, it's been both good and bad. Everything's been growing like crazy, but it's meant a lot of crops have been ready several weeks early.....and of course we've had to water everything like mad to try and keep up with the heat!

It's not an obnoxious or overpowering spiciness at all, and is more of a subtle little kick! And it complements the rich chocolate flavor of this cookie so well. Jordyn saw Diablo Cookies popping up around the internet for quite a while now, and finally decided to give them a go! She tweaked her to-die-for triple chocolate cookie recipe into this masterpiece, and the results are pretty spectacular.

A few weeks ago I decided to experiment with lemon doughnuts, and knew that a raspberry glaze would be so delicious with them. The raspberry glaze gets bonus points as well since the colour of it is so darn pretty. No food colouring needed people!
